The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.

Bio

I typically go by Becca but I am also comfortable with being called my legal name Rebecca. My pronouns are She/her/hers.

I work with individuals ages 18 and older.

I received my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Bastyr University and am currently licensed in Washington state. Prior to obtaining my Master’s in Counseling Psychology, I earned my B.A. from University of Washington in Comparative History of Ideas with a Minor in Russian Literature. I have experience working with a wide variety of individuals in community, private clinic and institutional settings.

I grew up in Washington and I hold vast appreciation for the beautiful nature surrounding this area. I love being outside sitting, walking, hiking and overall adventuring. I am an artist and delight in art making in many different mediums with painting as one of my favorite. Therapy work feels like an art form and I genuinely love this work.

The exploration of each individual's uniqueness balanced with acknowledgment of their belonging within collective communities and larger cycles of life feels profound. As a person who has benefited from receiving guidance with navigating my life traumas,

I view being able to support individuals in their journey as a sacred privilege.

I naturally gravitate toward weird, eccentric and silly things that remind me to see a new perspective. I often use astrology as a fun way to explore the world and interactions. I find tarot to be a helpful self care tool that can reframe situations. I am interested in symbols and imagery as a way to connect with and honor my non-religious spirituality. Yoga and/or non defined stretching and moving in nature are ways I enjoy being inside my body. Spending time with my family and chosen family is a priority. My partner, adorable son and amazingly cute cat Edie bring me joy daily and I am grateful for every day I get to spend with them.

I am happy to answer any questions you have. I would love to connect with you and to see if we might enjoy working together.
